4 Bryleigh met Santa!!

And it was funny!!! I just happened to be at the mall on Saturday, and saw that Santa was already there. Which surprised me! We thought it would be fun to take her to see him last night for family night. I'm glad we did because we didn't have to wait in a line or anything.

Now...all day I'd been getting her ready for this. The last two years, she has flipped out at just seeing him. She kept telling me all day that she wasn't scared of him, but Jeremy was. It was pretty funny. But as soon as it got closer, and closer to when we were going, she talked about being scared! But she was excited to tell Santa that she wanted a kitchen for Christmas, and of course to get the beloved candy cane!

So now we're walking up to him, she sees him and gets all excited. I think, "oh this is gonna be good." I walk her up to him and she starts to get a little nervous saying, "I want my daddy!!!" So daddy saves the day, picks her up and carries her over there. Santa says, "Bryleigh!! Merry Christmas!" (I had told Santa her name) Then he pulls out the candy cane! By this point she was whining a bit...just kind of scared. But then that candy cane!! Oh joy! He asked her what she wanted for christmas. She stopped long enough to say, "a kitchen!" Haha!! It was so funny...I thought for sure she wasn't going to talk to him. But we'd been reciting it all day...and she did it! So Santa told her if she was a good girl, he would bring her a kitchen. As she clutched her candy cane she waved and said bye-bye and that was that!!

It was so funny to me! But I was proud of her for trying. Hopefully she'll be okay when we get to meet Santa at a party in a couple of weeks!!

Take a look at what my team and the LDD team did with this!!

So this weekend, I was asked to give a "presentation" about digital scrapbooking to the girls in my ward. We had a nice cozy group of ladies and we had a lot of fun! This is the first time I've really sat down and "taught" about it. Thanks to Jacque Larsen for her notes, they helped out a lot!! :)

Have a great day everyone! :)
