35 Happy Easter!

I wanted to step in this weekend to wish you all a Happy Easter! Hope each one of you and your families has a great weekend!

Here's Jeremy yesterday during our egg hunt outside. He wasn't too excited about it, but we got him to at least pick up one egg...and I was lucky enough to catch it!

Guess what we went to see today?

Let's just say it was an interesting experience. We knew it would be since we have NEVER gone to the movies together as a family with 2 young children. So we were prepared for the worst. I brought my purse full of goodies, yes I snuck them in!, with sippy cups and everything. The kids were great through the first 73 min. or so. Then they started to get restless. Bryleigh's attention to the movie was gone. And Jeremy's was gone long before, but we kept stuffing him full of crackers and goldfish and he was happy. Well Bryleigh's attention and Jeremy getting tired of the snacks all happened at the same time and before we knew it we had two crying kids and we were out in the parking lot. We missed the last 25 min. or so of the movie. Sad!! And it was so cute! I'm not a movie theater go-er and I was actually enjoying myself. I really liked the movie, so hopefully we'll be able to see the end someday!

We came home and after a discussion about theater behavior with our three year old (that's just comical!) we decided to color our easter eggs. Here she is all smiles!

We did have a good day today. We're looking forward seeing what the easter bunny brought the kids and a yummy ham dinner in the evening!

For all my scrapping buddies, and non-scrapping buddies too, I've created a freebie for you for Easter! Just to wish you all the best! I hadn't done one in awhile and figured this was the perfect opportunity! You can download it HERE. Enjoy!

Have a fantastic Easter Sunday and a great weekend!! :)

6 Getting ready for the weekend!

Tomorrow's going to be a big day for us. We're spring cleaning! Wish us luck! :) I'm really in the mood to get a bunch of stuff organized and cleaned up really good! So Ray's taking the day off work and we're going to try and get a bunch of stuff done here at the house. We hope to be able to get it done early enough that we can take the kids to see Horton Hears a Who in the afternoon. Bryleigh's really excited to see the "elephant movie" as she says.

I even made up a list of all the things we need to get done. I was proud of myself for being so "organized". We'll see how it all goes tomorrow!

Saturday, Ray is gone again. He has a YM basketball tournament that he's going to. So the morning might be a bit boring here but in the afternoon, we're planning on doing all of our Easter stuff. We'll hide easter eggs for the kids to find and we'll color some too. It should be lots of fun! We got Easter packages from both Nana and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa today, so the kids are excited for those! Thanks!!

The kids Easter outfits are all ready to go. I am so excited about them this year because I actually did some sewing for them. I bought Bryleigh's dress, but I made Jeremy's tie to match and Bryleigh's hairbows match Jeremy's tie. They both look adorable. I took them out this morning to get some photos of them. It was very windy and cold, so they were not very cooperative. I hope to get some MUCH better photos of them this weekend, but for now, this will do. They still look adorable! :)

Guess what came in the mail for me today? THIS!! I'm so, so excited to sit down while the kids nap and look through it! :)

Have a wonderful day! I'll leave you with a couple of layouts I've done this week:

4 I'm so happy!

'cause this just showed up on my doorstep!

I'm so excited!! My 50 mm 1.8 just came! And of course I've already tried it out and I love it!!

I've really been working on Jeremy's scrapbook. It's been emotional, but good for me to scrap these moments. I know some of you want to see them, so here they are in small form, some of the journaling and stuff is just too personal for me to share in the galleries. So this is the only place you'll see them! I am almost through his hospital stay, then we'll be on to Christmas! :)

Don't forget to record those everyday moments! Have a great day!! :)

1 Good Morning!

I'm here early today...surprise, surprise! :) I wanted to show you something I finally finished up! I belong to this group HERE and this month's project is to make a table runner and hot pads. I loved doing these so much I'm going to make a bunch of different sets!

In scrapping news, I wanted to show you what's new at {we are} storytellers too. Have you seen the mega March monthly kit yet, New Life? It's been so fun to work with all the girls there and we are all so proud of this kit! There's even a coupon for it HERE, but hurry because it expires tonight at 11:59 EST.

And here's my little add on kit for New Life. It's on sale right now too!

Today is also Page Turner Tuesdays and I have my Pretty Lace and Valenciennes papers on sale for $2 each for today only!!

Have a fabulous day today!

4 Happy St. Patty's Day!

We had a great weekend! Friday we got to go shopping for a bit, get some groceries and some other stuff. We decided to go out to dinner at Applebees (or the Apple store as Bryleigh calls it) to celebrate getting our tax return! Thanks Dad! :) Here's Jeremy chomping away on his Grilled Cheese. He has been super picky about food recently. We never thought he would be picky, but he has become that way and sometimes it's really frustrating. But one thing he loves is grilled cheese sandwiches!

Saturday morning we woke up to snow! Yuck!! I am so done with winter. There wasn't much snow and it didn't even stick around until afternoon, so that was good! We were supposed to have our ward easter party outside with kite flying and egg hunting, but it was moved indoors because of the weather. The kids really had a fun time. Jeremy got to hunt for eggs for the first time and he loved it! Here is Bryleigh after getting her face painted to match her shirt! She thought it was so cool!

Yesterday was a typical Sunday. Here's Jeremy and Ray playing airplane! :)

This week is Spring Break and although I don't have kids in "real" school, I'm still feeling the effects of it! :) We don't have any aerobics classes (I'm doing the Biggest Loser DVD's at home instead) and Bryleigh doesn't have preschool. So we're in for a pretty low key week. But we are looking forward to doing some easter activities (coloring and hiding eggs etc.) and some major spring cleaning this weekend! We are also going to take the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. We've heard it's pretty good and I know Bryleigh will love it!

I've been refocusing my scrapbooking efforts. I am tired of scrapping just to use a kit or whatever. The whole reason I scrapbook is so that my kids have books of memories to look back on. And I feel like I haven't been telling enough storys for them to remember. So, I am starting with Jeremy's book and I'm going back through and really finishing it up. His life is shorter, that's why I'm starting with him! :) Last night I worked on a bunch of pages that highlight his first few weeks of life. I really want to remember and have him be able to look back on what those first few weeks of life were really like. It was a very emotional process and found myself tearing up many times as I remember those days. These pages mean so much to me.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! And whether you scrapbook or not, don't forget to record those special moments in your life!
