Our kitchen chairs that we bought along with our table have been slowly falling apart. I've wanted benches at our table for years also...so Ray and I decided that for our anniversary we would make some wooden benches together. We love building stuff together and this was probably our easiest project! I was inspired by this design here, although we used 5 pieces total for 2 benches instead of 4. It only took us about 1 1/2 hours to cut and assemble them and then the next morning I sanded them down and stained them. The stain turned out beautiful of them...I just love how they turned out. And they've already come in handy...with being able to seat 10 little girl's for Bryleigh's birthday party. :) Can't wait to make a matching table and end chairs!
