9 i love you pillow

I woke up at 3 am this morning...worrying about stuff. I couldn't go back to sleep and sometimes when I can't sleep I think of creating fun things. I remembered seeing this a few days ago and it reminded me of this, that I saw ages ago. I knew I needed to join the two ideas...and since I'm always thinking of fun and unique pillows I had to make this project. So after laying in bed for an hour, and then having to get my sick son settled down and back into bed, I broke out my sewing machine and started working. It took me less than an hour and I love the finished result. It was super fun doing a little hand stitching...something I hadn't done in awhile!


I love how it looks on my little bench...


I used an envelope fold on the back...that's how I sew all my pillows because it's super easy! I used a light red (almost dark pink) thread down the side and a baby blue color for the other lines. I drew my wording on with a pencil, made sure I liked how it looked...then used a navy blue floss for the hand stitches.


Isn't it perfect for upcoming Valentine's day? I think I'll leave it up all year long though! :)

4 Yarn Wreath

So I've been wanting to try to make a yarn wreath for ages and I just have been a little intimidated by them. I bought a bunch of wreaths at the dollar store before Christmas and actually wrapped this one with the white ribbon ages ago, but today I finally sat down and finished. I needed a valentine's wreath for my door, so that's where I went with it. I really like how it turned out and it was fun and super easy too! I'm excited to make more for each season!! :)
