1 peg people

This year for Christmas, I tried to do a lot of handmade items again. Unfortunately I had absolutely NO motivation to do anything handmade until the second week in December...then I had to kick it into high gear! One of the projects I worked on was making these fun peg people. They were so much fun to make...everyone got a set in their stockings. ;)

The baby got 4 ninja's...

The middle child got a set of Star Wars guys (his favorite is "dark vader"...as he says it) :)

The girl got a set of princesses (I added an extra round bead to the top of Cinderella and Tiana's heads for their hair in a bun)

The hubster got a set of super hero guys...

And for myself I made a Harry Potter set.

Stay tuned for more of my Christmas projects! :)

12 project life | title page

I am so, so excited to jump right into Project Life. It's a simple way to scrapbook and I'm going to use it in 2012 for my p365 photos. You can read more about it HERE. For Christmas, my wonderful husband gave me the Clementine Core Kit and all the other goodies you need to get started. I have been itchin' to get working on it so today I jumped in and created my title page. I know I'm really going to enjoy working on this project throughout the year. My plan is to have a two-page spread for each week of the year. I still plan on taking a picture a day...but I'm not going to stress if I don't get one because I'm going to focus on the whole week when I put my two-page spread together.

So here's what I came up with for my title page. I wanted mostly pictures of our family and since we don't have any in 2012 yet (I mean, how could we? It's still 2011!!) so I chose my favorite photos from last year and worked with those. I really love how it turned out...

I think I'm going to use a lot of stitching in my project...I love the look of it! I also typed on all of my cards first, then printed them out. (I also have the digital version of Clementine.) It was so easy this way!

The little details are my favorite...I created the little 2+3 flashcard myself...we like the number 5 here at our house! The heart was just made from cardstock and stitched down.

I used the Date Smash Stamp over and over on a 4x6 index card. The star punch was from Walmart $.97!! :)

I'd love you to link me up to you Project Life pages if you're doing it too!! Thanks for following me on this journey!
