I had so much fun putting together this week! I think I'm finally in my groove for this project too...so it's becoming so much easier to put it together each week. This week I used 2 pages with 12 3x4's each. I loved sewing my Design C last week, so I did it again and I had 24 little squares to work with!
Side one...Jeremy gave a talk in church, we had crazy weather, I started BeautyMint and the kids played outside on the nice days.
Side two...just a few everyday moments and journaling about lovin' life right now. The bottom half of the protector I decided to try something new...
I have been wanting to document all the places that we've lived during our married life. (If I tried to do all the places I've lived...it would take up too much room!) Over the last year I've gone back and taken pictures of all of our apartments/homes. I've been trying to figure out how to document them and decided that Project Life would be the best place to do it! I added a "our house...is a very, very, very fine house." card at the beginning.
So I printed out the pictures of our homes and cut off the top 1/4". I took the plain journaling cards and added a tab to the top. It's actually just a little rectangle cut out from a paper lunch bag. I sewed it down and used the Smash Date Stamp to add the dates that we lived in that particular home. Since I cut down the picture, you can see the tab and the dates.
I have this little obsession with house plans. As a kid that's what I would do all day...use up a lot of paper drawing my own house plans. So I knew I wanted to document the house plans of the places we've lived...it took me about 4 hours to do it, but I racked my brain and drew all the house plans. Thank heavens some of the apartments we lived had websites with floor plans to help me out! So on the front of each card is the floor plan with the address along the bottom.
And on the back of the card I added some journaling...like how many square feet we had, or what our rent was. I added any great memories we had and any other journaling I wanted to remember about each place. I just love how this part of my album turned out!
I also added in a 6x12 extra insert this week. I went away on a girls' weekend with some friends and wanted to document it separately. So on the first side is the journaling and pictures...
I added a tab with the dates...
...and on the back I made a collage out of the shopping bags. We shopped for hours and I wanted to include all the places I bought stuff...thought it would be a fun way to document it!
Hope you had a great week 10 too!
