28 project life | week 3 + a freebie!

Well, another week done!! I felt much more into this week than last...I dunno...I loved doing it last week too, I just think I was coming off the high of the first week and didn't feel very creative. But this week I'm back into my groove. I had so much fun putting it together!

I had an extra insert this week, my daughter had Parent Teacher Conference so I put her scores and stuff from her teacher in there. I figure one day it will be great to look back on and see her progress!

And here's what's on the back of that insert...a cute picture my daughter drew of our family. This is why Project Life appealed so much to me...I could include all that artwork I was just throwing away. Love it!

One of my very favorite cards is this one of my, starting my new diet. I got the idea from my fabulous friend Tiff...

...it has a secret flap that you can open up and I put text right on the picture of all of my measurements. Of course I've hidden that, I can't share everything you know! :) 

On this card, I printed out the menu from their website, and made all the text lighter except for what I ordered. :) In the card next to it, I added in a conversation I had with my son...he's so funny!

I just loved how this one turned out!

My husband was flying this week and got stuck because we were having huge snowstorms here. I added in the weather image from my phone on one pocket. On the other pocket I used his ticket as the background and his baggage claim ticket in their too!

This was a fun card, I just created the bubble in Photoshop, by using the shape took and text cut out of it. Then I cut the picture around the bubble.

3 project life | week two

I had so much fun putting my week together. After a crazy week like last week, I didn't think I'd have enough stuff to put in this week, but I did and actually ran out of room! I added in more real life moments...which is the whole point of this project, I want to remember our everyday life.

Here's my two week spread...

..and the second side. I decided to change it up a bit and use Design D this time around. I don't know if I'll use it again...only because it was hard for me to step out of my box. I ended up turning two of the 4x6's into two smaller ones. I do really like how it turned out though! 

My daughter was able to buy a new LaLaLoopsy with her birthday money from the grandparents, so I saved the little tag that came with her doll. I've had that cute polka dot tissue paper lying around forever, so I glued it down to an index card and that was the base for this card.

You can see what a nerd I really am. My husband taught this game to me while we were dating, so we have sentimental reasons in playing it.

In the bottom corner of the first page, I created this Hawaii card with a quote from my family blog. I also included a pull tab behind it which has the rest of my feelings about Hawaii. 

The kids started Tavaci again this week. The card that the picture is on, is one her teacher sent out informing us of the times for their classes. I just cropped it and stapled the picture on. In the bottom pocket, I screen captured my iPhone in a text that my friend Tiff sent me. We started our weekly Skype chats this week! 

I like adding in these quotes that the kids say. I've always been horrible about writing down the funny stuff they say...now I'm sure I'll love looking back on them!
