Week 6 came together pretty quickly. I knew we were going to have a pretty low-key week again so I knew I wanted to add in a lot of other little things. I really love how it turned out...
Here's the first side. Something I've told myself I can be okay about is creating cards even if I didn't take pictures. I kicked myself for forgetting to take pictures at our friends' super bowl party...but I searched the web, found the logo and the helmets and created this image to go on my card. It ended up as one of my favorites!
And the second side...I added in two more quotes from the kids (these are definitely my favorite things to add into my album) and I started asking the family a question each week. It will be fun to look back on their answers!
This week my daughter ate school lunch. Now this might not seem like a big deal, but it is in our home. She ate school lunch once at the beginning of the year and ever since then, she's been super afraid of it. I kept asking what was wrong and the most she'd tell me is that she didn't want to have to eat everything on her plate and the lunch ladies said they had to. I think she was just nervous about the possibility of getting in trouble. But this week she came home and said she wanted hot lunch the next day. I was shocked, but very proud of her! She ended up having school lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. So I cut out the little squares from the lunch calendar they send home...I thought it added the perfect touch so we can remember what she ate. :)
My husband has been putting in a lot of extra hours on his freelance work and he finished up a business logo today. I love how it turned out...he's so talented! It just happened that my son has a conversation with his friend about it so I created this card...probably my favorite card from this week!
We are slowly changing up our kitchen area and on this day I found myself refinishing my kitchen cabinets. I'll have a whole blog post about it later this week, but it was fun to see the before and after pictures in our album. :)
