Here we are at week 5!! This week was super busy for us and I took a ton of photos...way too many to fit into the album. This week's layout was stressing me out a bit and seemed like it took a bit longer to put together because we had a big event this week (our daughter's baptism) and I wanted to document it just right. I'm happy with the results. :)
Here's the left side:
The boys decided to use all their blankets and stuffed animals to fill the tub and play in there. They played in there for hours!! Got the cute wooden frame from my friend Shanna who sent me an awesome box full of goodies!! Thanks Shanna!!! :)
This kid was full of funny sayings this week...and this was one of them. He had eaten a donut with chocolate on it the day before and so this was was "naked" according to him!
Found a super cool app that it just what I've been looking for to document our weather in my PL album. It's called Instaweather and it lets you upload a photo and it adds a weather overlay on it. Super cool and just what I've been looking for!
I've been trying my hardest to add in moments that are little details I don't want to forget about my kids being little. This week especially it's hit me in the face at how fast my kids are growing up and I don't want to miss anything.
I got my hair cut this week and tried a new hairstyle I've been dying to try. It sent me out of my comfort zone, but it was so fun and I'm definitely wearing it like this again!
This is the right side, completely all about our special baptism weekend:
This is the invitation I sent out to our family and friends inviting them to my daughter's baptism. In our church, kids are baptized at age 8 and it's a big deal, she's been waiting for this day forever and as her parents we've been preparing for this day since she was born.
We had a very special day with lots of family and friends coming in to spend the weekend with us. Then that evening we went over to the church and Bryleigh was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by her father. She looked radiant in her dress and baptismal jumpsuit. She was so happy, and a wee bit nervous too.
I added in a little flair button here...I was constantly reminded throughout this weekend that it was all "about her", not about what I wanted or what others wanted. So when I found this button I knew it was perfect to add in!
I found the "child of God" print online (wish I could remember where, if I can find it again...I'll let you know), resized and recolored it. It's her favorite primary song.
I took photos of her with her dad and behind the second one I paper clipped a card that has what I remember her dad saying in her blessing.
She was kind enough to write her testimony down for me, so I could add it in here. :) Also, when everyone was here at dinner I gave everyone a blank card too and had them write a little something to Bryleigh on it, whether that was their testimony or words of advice or both. I'm adding those into a small envelope pocket that will also hold all of the cards she received, her baptism program and other memorablia.
Did you have a good week too??
