I got my week 2 done early! I actually had a lot of time to work on it this week and thankfully it came together pretty quickly. I must say...I am going to LOVE the combination of the Design F and Design A page protectors. I love working in the 3x4 slots with just a few 4x6's! Glad to have found a system that works better for me!
I am also loving my Big Number Week Cards...love the bold, graphic look as well as a small journaling card and then a calendar card thrown in there. Having those three things week to week is going to help give some stability to my layouts.
I have found myself letting go a bit on the organization/ chronological order of things in where I place different photos. But I find that I'm being a bit more OCD about color this year. I never once thought about color coordinating my layouts last year and I thought they turned out good. But this time around I feel like I have to color coordinate them a bit more...not sure why, we'll see how far this goes or how it works out. :)
One other thing before I show you my pages...I am obsessed with black and white images lately! I think you'll see lots of B/W photos in my layouts as we move forward. :)
Okay...here's my week 2 layout:
I am loving. so loving anything wood veneer. I picked up the arrows from Freckled Fawn and the alphabet (Studio Calico) from Simon Says Stamp. They are the perfect little embellishments to add to my almost all digital cards.
I added in a "currents" card again. I like adding one of these in each month. :)
I saw Cathy Zielske had a Downton Abbey card in her PL last week, so I hunted down the image and made one for myself. It is a big part of what I'm loving right now, so I felt like it was appropriate! :)
I had to add in a little drawing done by Jeremy...some of my favorite things to add into my album are pieces of art from the kids! :)
I added in a "for the record" card that I think I'll do monthly also...a card where I can write down some of the things I want to remember, like Jeremy says "thingers" instead of "fingers" and little things like that. :)
