Here we are at week 3 and I'm still loving this project as much as I was last year! I'm having a lot of fun thinking outside the box and trying to come up with new ways to display my cards. :)
Here's a look at my 2 page spread:
Lots more black/white photos this week. I got some awesome actions by the fabulous and sweet Sarah of My Four Hens Photography...so I had a lot of fun playing with them! We had a pretty low-key week so I did a lot of filler cards, which is always fun!
I used a lot of my handwriting on this side of the page. I always write my words using a trackpad (gasp!) and Illustrator. It works for me, so that's how I do it! :)
I wanted to capture some of the kids' evening routines...so here's Miles reading a book before bed and Jeremy jumping on his bed. :) I love adding circles to my cards...I think it's my new go-to shape. :)
I added in this card of Bryleigh reading her new library book. She was home sick from school and I caught her reading. It doesn't happen very often, but I love when she chooses to read for fun!
Sweet Miles learned how to put his shoes on by himself. He has become more and more independent in the last few weeks. This is his latest accomplishment! I love being able to see the progress through the three photos.
I love this picture of my boys. I've made a goal this year to capture images of just two of the kids together. I always get photos of them by themselves or all three together, but I rarely get photos of just two of them. These two have a fun relationship. They really are good buddies. If one of them is in their room, they want the other one in there with them. They love to be together. They definitely have their moments and need time apart, but they really are great friends.
Jeremy is such a funny kid. I stuck these two cards in to show his quirks. :) When Jeremy stands still he always curls his toes under...I noticed when I was talking to him and had to snap the picture to remember it. And of course, the funny things he says...I love that he says "oh, tarter sauce" when something goes wrong.
A fun filler card I put in this week. I love Little Butterfly Wings' quotes...I just added some of my graph paper to the back and it's perfect!
Another card I used my writing on...I absolutely love this picture!
My husband and I finally got to see The Hobbit this last weekend. We tried to go over Christmas break, but I got sick...then we tried to get a sitter the week after and couldn't find one. We planned on going for our anniversary, but since my hubby was just being released from the hospital we decided we would just have to go in a couple weeks. Well it finally came! We got our favorite sitter Emily, tried out the new Chick-fil-A in town and saw The Hobbit. Both my husband and I are huge Lord of the Rings fans so it was torture having to wait to see it, but it was so worth it! I picked my favorite quote from the movie and used my handwriting to make a card to go next to the card of a movie poster I found. :)
Hope you had a great week!
